MEET MICHAELA
Michaela Donato is the owner and founder of Donato Design and Decor. She’s a designer and decorator who is passionate about helping people take the overwhelm and decision-making out of their dream homes. Michaela is committed to making your dream space serve your lifestyle and needs so that everything in your life becomes easier and more beautiful. A NOTE FROM ME
I'm Michaela, the designer behind Donato Design and Decor! Before I jumped two feet into my design career, I studied the psychology of decor and I learned how powerful a contributor decor is to the levels of satisfaction and happiness in our lives. This is why I've made it my mission to help my clients create happier homes that function with their lifestyles and boost their positivity. I design with the intention to illustrate how your space can help you live your best daily life. I create happier, prettier and more conscious homes.
Perusing design and turning my lovefor the home into a career has been the best thing I’ve ever done. I know how powerful a perfectly designed and curated home can be and having the ability to help others achieve their decor dreams is so rewarding!

GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK
Don’t get me wrong- I love having a perfectly made bed and floors you can eat off, but I know maintaining this standard is not always achievable. This imperfect circle has been a lifelong symbol to me that not everything has to be perfect. My designs need to be livable and functional above all else. I'm always striving to learn how to plan for the unexpected and even embrace it - though I will admit that it's an ongoing practice. We all need to take steps to focus on happiness, instead of perfection, because this is where true satisfaction is found.
